BDTI Resources on Processor Architectures and Performance

The tables below show the resources available from BDTI for 69 architectures from 22 vendors. The tables are organized to show:
  • Vendor
  • Part name
  • Type of processor (whether it is available as a chip, a core, or both)
  • Link to BDTI processor overview
  • Links to other BDTI information
for processors that are currently available and processors now obsolete.

The Processor Overviews provided on this page are intended to be used as a reference by DSP engineers and designers who need to quickly compare the basic architectural features of currently available DSPs and general-purpose processors. Each overview descibes such key processor features as data path, memory architecture, and peripherals. Although the overviews are updated regularly, BDTI recommends that readers contact chip vendors for authoritative information.

The Processor Overviews are excerpted from BDTI's technical publications, including reports in its Inside series, several editions of its Buyer's Guide to DSP Processors, and DSP on General-Purpose Processors. Links to these reports and other BDTI resources are provided under “Other BDTI Information.”
