BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks Engineering Toolkit™

Since their introduction in 1994, the BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks™ have helped engineers and engineering managers at over 80 companies, including 13 of the top 20 semiconductor manufacturers, reduce development costs and schedules, bring products to market more quickly, and measure development progress. BDTI has now combined the BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks, the industry’s most reliable benchmarks for signal processing applications, with a rich library of competitive information and a flexible tool for making comparisons and weighing design trade-offs. This combination is available as the BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks Engineering Toolkit™.

The BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks Engineering Toolkit includes three complementary tools that enable engineers and engineering managers quickly and accurately assess chips, silicon IP, and development tools.

  • First, the Toolkit includes the BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks™ Specification. The BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks Specification provides reference code, a detailed written specification with guidelines for coding and optimization, and test vectors. The Specification gives users what they need to implement these industry-standard benchmarks on their own or their vendors’ products.
  • Second, the Toolkit includes BDTI’s Benchmark Information Service™. The Benchmark Information Service delivers a comprehensive library of up-to-date BDTI Certified™ benchmark results to enable broad comparisons.
  • Third, the Toolkit includes BDTI’s Benchmark Analysis Tool™. The Benchmark Analysis Tool enables users to quickly create sophisticated competitive and what-if analyses to compare the capabilities of their design with the current and future competitive landscape.

The BDTI DSP Kernel Benchmarks Engineering Toolkit is just the latest of many products and services that BDTI clients use on a daily basis to build stronger products, reduce their risk, and shrink time-to-market.
