Background

BDTI is a digital signal processing analysis and engineering company located in downtown Oakland. Founded by three UCB researchers in 1991, BDTI has grown to be the recognized leader in analysis and evaluation of digital signal processing technology. We work with some of the hottest new DSP technology, often while it is still in the early stages of development. We influence the design of future-generation products. Want to get involved?

The Job

We’re seeking help with a variety of projects and need engineers with an understanding of basic microprocessor concepts to help with research, analysis, and presentation of signal processing technology. If you’d fit well with a team of bright, hard-working, personable, and fun individuals who enjoy a casual, collegial working environment, we might have a place for you!

10-25 hours/week. Flexible schedule.

You should have at least some of the following skills:

  • Audio editing experience (e.g., CoolEdit, SoundForge)
  • Assembly-level programming experience
  • Familiarity with assembly-level software development tools
  • Familiarity with microprocessor architecture concepts
  • Interest in digital signal processing and its applications
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to work well independently.
