Unparalleled breadth

The nature of our business means that our technical staff members gain exposure to a wide range of cutting-edge DSP technology, from processors to tools to algorithms. Our work spans many DSP application areas. This yields an extensive spectrum of opportunities for learning and career growth.

Ability to have a real impact

Each individual has the ability to significantly influence the company's success. In turn, our products and services have an important impact on our customers' strategies and products.

State-of-the-art

We work with some of the hottest new DSP technology, often while it is still in the early stages of development. We influence the design of future-generation products.

In 2001, for example, BDTI developed audio processing software for the RCA Lyra. The Lyra was one of the first pocket-sized personal digital audio players. The first-generation Lyra played MP3 and RealAudio files.

High-caliber colleagues

Our staff is comprised of bright, hard-working, personable, and fun individuals who enjoy a casual, collegial working environment. Team members come from diverse places and backgrounds, and bring a formidable array of skills and experience to their work. Learning through teamwork and mentoring is virtually constant.

Visibility

Each person's efforts are recognized within the company and, in many cases, within the industry. Technical staff members routinely write articles for publication and make presentations to customers and at conferences.

Solid, growing customer base

We have a very loyal customer base that includes over 300 leading semiconductor, electronic systems, and software companies developing or using DSP technology. Technical staff members work directly with engineers and managers at these companies.

Excellent Benefits

  • Progressive performance evaluation program with performance bonuses.

Employees fill time outside of work with a variety of activities. Enjoy snow sports? Head east to the Sierras! Or, if watersports are more your speed, head west to the Pacific and learn to surf! Need a good book or excellent meal for a quiet evening? There are over half a dozen bookstores within four blocks of our offices and many restaurants to tempt your palate.
