About the Implementation:

  1. Which audio compression algorithm is implemented?
    E.g. MPEG-1/2, MP3, AC-3, AAC-LC, G2, etc.

Note: If you implement multiple algorithms, please provide separate data for each by filling out this form separately for each algorithm.

If the algorithm does not appear in the pull down menu, please enter it here.

  1. Which portion or variant of the standard or algorithm does the implementation support?
E.g. Layer I, Layer I and II, Class A, etc.
If the correct answer does not appear in the pull down menu, please enter the portion(s) or variant here.

  1. Is the implementation an encoder or decoder?
Please fill out this from separately for each encoder and decoder.

  1. What is the maximum number of channels the implementation supports?
If the correct answer does not appear in the pull down menu, please enter the maximum number of channels here.

  1. What is the maximum sample rate supported by the implementation?
If the correct answer does not appear in the pull down menu, please enter the maximum sample rate here.

About the Processor:

  1. What is the target processor/architecture?
Please be specific. For example, a response of DSP563xx is interpreted to mean that the implementation runs on the entire DSP563xx family of processors without changing the clock rate, memory requirements, or memory organization. If the target processor is only one of a family of processors, please specify that individual processor; e.g., DSP56303.

  2. What clock rate does the implementation require of the target processor?
Please refer to note 1 of Audio Compression Algorithm Implementations: Clock Rate and Memory Requirements for our definition of clock rate.

About Memory Requirements:

  1. How much program memory is required?
Please specify the program memory requirement in terms of the processor's program word size in bits. For example, 14Kx16-bit, not 14 Kword.

  2. How much constant-data memory is required?
Please specify the constant data memory requirement in terms of the processor's native data word size in bits. For example, 14Kx16-bit, not 14 Kword.

  3. How much non-constant-data memory is required?
Please specify the non-constant data memory requirement in terms of the processor's native data word size in bits. For example, 14Kx16-bit, not 14 Kword.

  4. How much total memory is required?
(Only necessary if you DID NOT answer the above memory questions). Please specify the total memory requirement in terms of the processor's word size in bits. For example, 14Kx16-bit, not 14 Kword.

About the Source

  1. Please enter the URL to link to the source (you?) of information regarding the implementation.
A vital component of the data presented in Audio Compression Algorithm Implementations: Clock Rate and Memory Requirements is a link to the source of the implementation. We may not be able to accept submissions without a verifiable link to the source.
